Today's date, November 18 2009, marks the 18th anniversary of the fall of Vukovar. We remember all Vukovar victims whose legacy is a constituent part of Vukovar's history and the history of Europe. We admire the inhabitants of Vukovar for their efforts to build a sustainable and productive multi-cultural and multi-ethnic future for their town. Pushlab will continue to assist them in achieving these goals.

The second Vukovar Empowering the Community Training finished successfully. We are proud of our participants for implementing all of their groups' projects.
The summer school hosted participants from nine countries, who during the three weeks of the training learned about Vukovar's past and present. The participants developed four innovative projects for the development of the city of Vukovar. They presented these projects at a media conference in the city hall. During the last three days of the training they implemented the envisaged projects in Vukovar.
The summer school and the projects were supported by the city of Vukovar and Vukovar NGOs, the Vukovar tourist board and the Tourist board of the Vukovar-Srijem county.
The training was covered by leading regional media such as: Radio Dunav (Serbian Radio station in Vukovar), Croatian Radio Vukovar, the Vukovar newspaper, Vijesnik Osijek, Slavonia Info, Glas Slavonije, Večernji list Osijek, Jutarnji list Osijek and Vinkovačka TV.

„OSNAŽIVANJE ZAJEDNICE"

Udruga Pushlab iz Hrvatske i udruga Global PACT iz SAD-a pozivaju Vas na sudjelovanje u trotjednoj ljetnoj školi pod nazivom „Osnaživanje zajednice" koji će se održati u Vukovaru. Ovaj program, baziran na timskom radu, već treću godinu za redom, pružit će priliku studentima da, koristeći se metodama rada u civilnom sektoru pridonesu pozitivnoj transformaciji društva i rješavanju kritičnih socijalnih problema u lokalnoj zajednici. Kroz analizu ekonomskih, političkih i socijalnih čimbenika okoline u kojoj zajednica Vukovara obitava polaznici će osmisliti projekt koji doprinosi rješavanju ili ublažavanju problema koji su odabrani kao prioritetni za napredak grada Vukovara. Ovaj trening studente će voditi korak po korak, kroz proces transformacije; od identifikacije problema, razvoja koncepta mogućeg rješenja, izrade i razrade i najvažnije, implementacije projekta, sve do konferencije za medije gdje će se iznijeti rezultati implementacije projekta.
